Cut Short is the first in a new series of crime thrillers. It has received encouraging reviews so far. “taut, slick, easy to read thriller” (Watford Observer, who also described my writing as “accomplished”) – “a remarkable novel” (Crime Time Magazine) – “a fantastic read” (Events Manager Borders) – I won’t bore you with any more (yes, there are more in the same vein!). I’ve also been invited to speak at two literary festivals, and am joining the CWA! As you can tell, I’m very pleased with how it’s all going, but will doubtless get my comeuppance soon enough.

Regarding the British vs American crime fiction debate . . . I’ve been invited to join the Curzon Group . . . what’s a girl to do?!Leigh Russellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15080517449825380527noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2549527447529902973.post-4835566045324157642009-05-13T08:54:00.000-07:002009-05-13T08:54:00.000-07:00Great photo! But just as we were reaching for our muskets, we remembered that any publicity is good publicity for writers, and set them back down. We love all you guys, really! I'm happy for the "debate" because it helped me discover a few new British writers and friends.
